About Alan S. Garber
Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Alan S. Garber graduated in 1972 from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1977 from The American University, Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C. Alan served as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission until 1980 when he joined the San Francisco law firm of Littler, Mendelson, Fastiff & Tichy, specializing in all aspects of management labor relations. In 1985 Alan helped form the law firm of Last, Zaletel & Garber where he continued to specialize in management labor relations as well as construction law. The Garber Law Firm was created in 1998.
Alan is licensed to practiced law in California, the District of Columbia and Virginia, as well as federal courts in California and Texas.
Alan was an Adjunct Professor at the Culinary Institute of America in both Hyde Park, NY and Napa, CA. He is also a member of the Golden Gate Breakfast Club in San Francisco where he sits on the Board of Directors, is a member of the San Francisco Professional Food Society and is a Past President and Member Emeritus of the Golden Gate Wine Society. His practice emphasizes all aspects of labor and employment law, defending Employers of all sizes.
